In this episode, Dr. Gabi Baeza discusses her journey to becoming an Associate Professor of Spanish and US Latina/o/x Literature in the Hispanic Studies Department at the University of Houston. Additionally, she serves as the Deputy Director of Arte Público Press, the Director of the Recovering the US Hispanic Literary Heritage Program, and is a Co-Founder of the US Latino Digital Humanities Center. As Latinos, we understand that our story is complex and nuanced. It is imperative that we embrace our true essence, rather than the artificially manufactured one presented by the media. We become what we feed our minds, so it is essential for us to read authentic Latino literature.
