It's adapted based on an article written by Laoshe 老舍(1899-1966). 老舍 is a highly influential Chinese writer and playwright known for his significant contributions to 20th-century Chinese literature. Born in Beijing, he had a deep connection with the city and its people, which is often reflected in his works.

Lao She's writing is characterized by a keen sense of social observation and a subtle, often satirical, sense of humor. His works offer profound insights into the complexities of human nature and the evolving social landscapes of his time.

Some of his most notable works include:

1. "Rickshaw Boy" (骆驼祥子): This novel is one of Lao She's most celebrated works and tells the story of the struggles of a rickshaw puller in Beijing. It explores themes of poverty, ambition, and the challenges faced by the working class in the city.
2. "Teahouse" (茶馆): A renowned play, "Teahouse" is considered a classic of modern Chinese drama. Set in a Beijing teahouse, it spans 50 years of Chinese history, offering a rich portrayal of society's transformation during that period.
3. "Cat" (猫): This novella tells the story of a stray cat's experiences in 1930s Beijing. Through the cat's encounters with various people, it explores the complexities of human society and social hierarchies.
