Hot on the heels of Manuel Tur’s heavyweight vinyl reissue of his cinematic downtempo long player ‘Intertextural’ comes this package of remixes of four standout tracks by DJ Counselling, All is Well and Japan’s Yuu Udagawa. London producer DJ Counselling opens the EP with his energetic version of ‘Omina’, raising tempo and hands with an expertly executed arrangement, while the newly added filtered synth chords echo some of Tur's best-known releases of the late noughties. Next up is Montreal’s Frédéric Blais aka All Is Well. After his recent album success on Drumpoet, and his current long player drop under his Fred Everything moniker, the Canadian master producer turns up the heat on ‘Flakon’ flipping it into a head-nodding groove masterpiece that recalls the subtle 90s trip-hop flavour of the original version. On the B-side, Tokyo native Yuu Udagawa - who has collaborated with Tur on several occasions - unleashes two shimmering, ethereal remixes of ‘Slow White’ and ‘Shadowgraph’ that guide the listener on a floating journey through Yuu’s signature sparkling sound.
