I am joined by Andy Neilson to chat about the buyer’s journey - quite literally. Andy has been involved in procurement for much of his career - from the world of the potteries working with brands such as Royal Worcester, Denby and Spode to Halfords, Fitness First, and he held a global position at Clarks as Group Head/Vice President of Procurement Supply Chain & Logistics. There isn’t much Andy doesn’t know about procurement. So the sales woman meets the buyer! But this wasn’t a showdown and the normal battle we have been used to all of these years. This was a human conversation about how buyer’s can actually teach sales people a huge amount about building relationships. You can imagine that I loved it!
