I. Why pursue great people?- God's Word is emphatic about the company we keep. --1 Corinthians 15:33; Hebrews 13:7; 1 Corinthians 4:15-16; Proverbs 27:17
- Our baggage and backgrounds demand it! (Reference: The Wounded Healer by Henry Nouwen)
- Start by looking in the rear-view mirror. What four or five people have most positively impacted your life?
- Now, look out the windshield. We all need three kinds of people in our lives.
- A Paul to “learn from.”
- A Barnabas to “share with.”
- A Timothy to “help grow.”
- A warning to heed.
- A perspective to consider.
- An action plan to follow.
