Syracuse Orange Football needs linebackers to replace Marlowe Wax and Justin Barron for the 2025. Syracuse Head Coach Fran Brown should target West Virginia Mountaineers linebacker Josiah Trotter, who's expected to be in the transfer portal, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Trotter has three years of college eligibility left, was recently named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, and will be highly sought after in the transfer portal. Current Syracuse Defensive Coordinator Elijah Robinson was the primary recruiter for Trotter when the Texas A&M Aggies pursued him in high school. Trotter also went to the same Philadelphia high school and Kyle McCord and 2025 commit Kahlil Stewart.
