Seeds grow.

I know. It’s obvious. Seeds grow. They love to grow.

They love to spring forth. And they also love to go deep.

Seeds love to grow roots.

And roots??

Roots are hidden truths.

Roots never lie.

So that’s where I’ll begin. With my truth. With three roots in my life.

The first is a shallow root.

The second is a mid root.

And the third, is the one I mentioned above.

My ancestral root, my deeper-than-sky root.

I’m going to share a story for each of these roots but it’s important to remember that these roots began as a seed, a seed which grew into a problem.

Before we discuss my roots and problems, let me ask a question I haven’t found a clear answer to.

How do you discover the seed of a problem?

Digging for the seed of a problem is tricky.

When I dig, I don’t always discover the seed I’m seeking.

Sometimes I think I’ve found the seed, and dealt with it, only to realize I didn’t go deep enough, or that the seed I found was for an entirely different problem.

As I said, It’s tricky to find the seed of a problem, but there is one certainty in digging.

Every root leads to a seed. Because…every root began as a seed.
Attention, emotion, repetition.

These are the foundations of neuroplasticity, the mind’s ability to change, but change can be healthy, or unhealthy, depending on our choices.
Releasing old thought patterns and beliefs can be monumental. Especially when those beliefs are old, old gnarled roots with thick trunks. It takes enormous effort and I employ many skills: meditation, breath awareness, positive affirmations, and forgiveness for the moments I stumbled and fell upon the old roots.

It’s far easier and faster for NATURE to change epigenomes, than to change genes.

So NATURE changes the epigenome, in order to alter the expression of a gene. This is the science of epigenetics, and it’s far beyond my expertise. I mention it only to support my personal experience, namely, when I change my environment, I alter the expression of my genes.
My Physical Environment: healthy eating, daily exercise, journaling, solitude, companionship, and plenty of rest.

My Mental Environment: breath awareness, meditation, neuroplasticity, positive affirmations, and plenty of creativity.

My Emotional Environment: curiosity, wonder, awe, beauty, sorrow, love, and plenty of joy.

My Spiritual Environment: prayer, ceremony, song, sacred rituals, dance, and plenty of faith.

Let’s begin again.
Seeds grow.
Roots never lie.
We are linked to our grandparents.
The energetic realm gives rise to the physical realm.
Life is one eternal moment of dying.
Answers are seeds.
DNA is ancient, one helix yoked to another helix.
E=mC2 Energy is yoked to matter.
The UnSeen yoked to the Seen.
I believe my Ancestors, the unseen, are yoked to me, the seen. And that we differ only by the speed of light, squared.

E=mC2

I believe healing in the energetic realm is equal to healing in the physical realm, and vice versa. The two differ only by the speed of light, squared.

The speed of light, squared. That’s very, very fast. Possibly faster than thought. But who knows. It takes time to glean such wisdom. And I’ve already taken plenty of yours.

So…with tireless faith, persistence of mind, and dedication of body, I bid you farewell.
