This movie deliberately offers a powerful reminder of the presence and influence of historical Black figures in American History. The opening sequence opens with, “While the events of this story are fictional… These. People. Existed.” And that sets the tone for a two-hour and twenty-minute journey into late 1800's bad-assery of outlaws, bandits, shotguns and saloons; replete with dust-filled bank robberies, camp fires and the pre-dawn planning of the taking of a town. This movie is a must-see!
