The Chicago style hot-dog is this: beef frankfurter topped with yellow mustard, diced white onions, green relish, red tomato slices, green sport peppers, a pickle spear, and celery salt. The assortment of vibrant vegetables created the "dragged through the garden" reference. ANYWHERE in Chicago when you order a hotdog THIS is how it will be prepared. So if it's the same formula and preparation why isn't there a monopoly on it?
