On Sunday we continued our sermon series: "Back to the 90's" as we dove into 1 John chapter 4. In Sunday's sermon, Pastor Erik reflects on growing up in a Christian home during the eighties and nineties, highlighting the anxieties and fears related to the concept of the rapture and the overwhelming nature of today's societal pressures. He emphasizes the importance of understanding that love comes from God and how it manifests in our relationships with others, as well as the need for intentionality to embody Jesus' love in our daily lives. Erik encourages the congregation to embrace their identity in God and to act on that love through compassion and service, especially in light of the fears and anxieties many face today. He concludes by urging everyone to unleash their creative potential in expressing God’s love and to commit to prayer and community action in the upcoming weeks.
