Welcome to Pretty in Purpose! I’m so happy you’re here. This podcast is for anyone who has ever wondered if there is more for their life, but wasn't sure how to take the next step in figuring out what that "more" is. It's for those that look like they might have it all together on the outside, but hear that soft whisper on the inside saying, something’s not quite right. Whether it is a career change, a relationship change, or simply stepping into your power, you are in the right place to sort it out with the support of your fellow sisters.

For me. this epiphany hit me one day in Los Angeles when I was driving down the 405 freeway, one of the most highly trafficked freeway in the world. I was sitting in so much traffic that I finally submitted and decided to relax, reflect and pray a little. Soon I started to feel this swirly, uncomfortable feeling inside of me. I thought uh oh, what is this and before too long I could tell there was a small, whispering voice letting me know, something was off... I wasn’t happy. I talked back... oh no, no, no... I’m a happy, positive person. And it was as if it said, "ya well maybe, but guess what, we aren’t happy". With the cat out of the bag, now what? I had all the external things in my life that "should" make me happy, that "they" said would make me happy. I was really grateful for all of it, but why didn't I feeling more fulfilled?

With that new found admission, I started to dig a little deeper to see what was off and realized a lot of my life was out of alignment with who I was. I was an executive working at a Fortune 500 company that didn’t have the same values as me, in fact it was a toxic work culture and it was swallowing my soul.

I was busy doing a lot of so called fancy things with fancy people which was a lot of fun and I met some wonderful people, and it was also true that my dad had passed away and in my heart, I missed deeper connections to community and family. My life wasn’t lining up with what my heart. My job was creating an Identity & Story for a company, but I had forgotten my own.

It was time to make a change, but how? That question echoed in my heart, "what do you want?" I didn't have an answer. And so the journey began, a journey of ups and downs, but a divine and necessary one. After all, you can’t step into your purpose, your most aligned self, if you don’t know what it is!
