We long to see the Church revitalized by the gospel and seek to encourage all who share that vision. We gather together for gospel-hearted fellowship around gospel-minded theology. We are a ministry of Union, and gather around the following four values and convictions. Delight in God. We desire to know, love, and enjoy God. Grow in Christ. We long to be more fully alive in the truth, goodness, and beauty of Jesus. Serve the Church. We are a ministry for the Church, for the sake of the Church, that she might be fit for Christ. In this episode of the Reformation Fellowship Podcast, we listen to part two of Justin Schell's conversation with Donald Fairbairn about knowing the Trinity relationally and not just intellectually; and how our real, intimate union with God matters for the Christian life. Dr. Fairbairn is the Robert E. Cooley Professor of Early Christianity at. Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and the Dean of the Newton House with Union. His research interests focus on the relation between the doctrines of the Trinity, Christ, salvation, and Christian life in the early church, especially in the 4th through 6th centuries. After graduating from seminary in 1989, Dr. Fairbairn ministered in Soviet Georgia for a year and then taught theology, New Testament, and apologetics at Donetsk Christian University in Ukraine from 1992-96. He also served as Assistant Academic Dean there. Since that time, he has continued to teach in Eastern and Western Europe through many short-term trips. Three of his English books have been published in Russian and two in Romanian. He has also written two books published only in Russian. Dr. Fairbairn and his wife Jennifer have two children, Trey (born in 2001) and Ella (born in 2003). His hobbies include golf, gardening, and playing with his dogs. The Log College: Reformation and fellowship in the First Great Awakening with Michael Morgan 37:59

In this episode of the Reformation Fellowship Podcast, Justin Schell has a conversation with Michael Morgan on the Log College, a humble training ground for numerous, faithful ministers. Michael, hand in hand with his wife, Kate, has served in inner-city, prison, and church-planting ministries for the past twenty years, fourteen as the pastor at Calvary Wellspring. Michael has studied at the University of Kansas (Bachelor of Arts, Humanities), Gateway Seminary (Master of Divinity), Gordon-Conwell Theology Seminary (Doctor of Ministry), and is currently doing Ph.D. work at the University of Leicester in the UK, where he is researching the clergy networks of William Wilberforce, the parliamentary leader whose efforts culminated in the abolition of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Since 2014, he has served as an adjunct faculty member at Gateway Seminary, teaching courses on Classics of Christian Devotion, pre- and post-Reformation Church History, and Systematic Theology. He’s been a guest lecturer at Ravencrest Bible School, a Council Member for God Centered Life Ministries, the Board President of Colorado Family Life Center, on the Advisory Team for the Rocky Mountain Campus of Gateway Seminary, serves on the Executive Committee of the Calvary Family of Churches, and is the author of John Newton: Catalyst for Compassion . Michael has been deeply influenced by the devotion of the Puritans and the zeal of the Clapham Sect, a network of 18th-century reformers who battled slavery, tackled illiteracy, orphan care, and prison reform, and endeavored to send missionaries to the ends of the earth. At Tennent, Michael serves as the Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Historical Theology. He enjoys books and coffee, camping in the mountains with his wife and three amazing teenagers, and loves teaching about the majesty of Jesus and mobilizing leaders for kingdom impact.
