Alright! It’s about to get weird. We’re about to cross over the great divide. Somehow we have been conditioned from all the misguided arguments telling the church to remain out of the sector of the state, that we are only allowed to have God thoughts on Sunday. We, as the church, must stay in our “lane.” Let me tell you something, the separation of church and state was to protect the church from the overreaching arm of the state. The church has every right to peer into and review all things related to life. After all, Jesus is not just the King of the Israel and His church, but He is after all, the rightful King of all the Universe. He has no “lane.” All belongs to Him.

We should not be afraid to tackle any subject. There was a day when the church was told to be quiet while the slave trade flourished. It was a mistake. Pastors told their churches to sing louder while train cars filled with Jewish men, women and children were running in hearing distance behind church buildings. It was a mistake. We do not pick the times in which we live. You and I don’t get a choice about our generation, or the year of our birth. We don’t get to choose which injustices we must endure, or what nation we are born into. In that sense, we are all responders. Our timeless salvation plays out in real time and space. Our Christianity is not meted out within a vacuum.

All that being said…let’s talk about aliens.

I. THE UFO PHENOMENON

A. There is a worldwide phenomenon happening right now concerning the UFO’s, alien abduction, and a hybridization program.

B. Since I’m more than sure that you can google UFO sightings, I won’t spend any time playing you those videos. Obviously some are fakes, but there are others that are verifiable. You could go and spend hours researching just UFO sightings. One thing is clear, this is happening, this is happening with thousands of witnesses, sometimes even happening with thousands of witnesses at once, and this is happening all over the world. If I choose to not talk about it, it doesn’t make the phenomenon go away.

C. For many years as I’ve studied these things out, I’ve wondered at the wisdom of going on record to share a Biblical perspective around this subject. Even as I prayed about whether or not to teach this series, I was convinced while listening to a man who has spent much of his career studying these things out. He said, “This phenomenon isn’t going away. It is progressing, and it is progressing quickly.” Somehow, these statements convinced me that I must not shrink back from giving the best defense and invitation I can from the Gospel.

D. You may be shocked to find out that there have been historical accounts of UFO sightings that date all the way back to 1440BC, the first being recorded by the Pharaoh of Egypt, Thutmose III.

E. In 70AD, the year Rome destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem, this was recorded:

“A bright light over the Temple in Jerusalem. On a later day there appeared in the air over the whole country chariots and armed troops coursing through the clouds, surrounding the cities.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_reported_UFO_sightings)

Ephesians 6

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

F. Jesus said this…

Luke 10

17The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” 18And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. 20Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

G. Whether you want to believe it or not, we are plainly told in the scriptures that there is another reality, or another dimension (if you will) that is interacting, and at times intersecting with ours.

H. In another passage of scripture we are told that those who have gone on before us, or those who have died already, are cheering us on as witnesses to the race we are currently running.

Hebrews 12

1Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

I. Heaven is not constrained by time. And yet, what happens within time, or more specifically, what happens within the dimension of earth in time and space, plays out there in that heavenly dimension, in a unique way.

Revelation 6

9When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. 10They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothersc should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

J. Jesus’ favorite message, the same message He sends out His disciples to preach from city to city, before He was crucified, was this: The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! What is this message? The reality of the kingdom of heaven, the one that you were cut off from in the Garden of Eden, it’s open to you once again. It’s close. Jesus brings these separated realities back together by rending His flesh upon the cross! The cross isn’t just about dealing with sin. It’s about bringing 2 realities back into fellowship.

Ephesians 1

7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

K. The plan of God, fulfilled through Jesus, was to reconcile two realities, or dimensions.

L. Now, the point I’m trying to make here is simple. The Bible is full of this kind of understanding. We are told plainly about demonic forces and powers interacting with ours, and we are told of the reality of heaven, reconciled and reconciling with ours! This should not come as a shock to you unless you are a brand new Christian believer. These are themes found all throughout your Bible.

M. What is fascinating is how these same themes are not only found within our Judeo history, but these same themes are recorded worldwide from all the nations.

II. ALIENS??

A. It may surprise you to find out that in America, 1 out of ever 2 people believes in UFO’s and that we have been visited by aliens in our past and up to our present. In Britain, more people believe in aliens than in God. This is not a joke!

B. We spent some time a few weeks ago talking about transhumanism, and the scientific push for man to become immortal by 2045. I read to you reports where the biggest think tanks in the world are seriously discussing how much the human DNA will be allowed in animals before those animals require the rights of human citizens.

C. This “alien” phenomenon is nothing new. The appearance of “little grays” may be new, but the storyline is ancient. The hybridization program is ancient. It goes all the way back to the “days of Noah.”

Let’s define our terms here:

Alien (n) -

a : belonging or relating to another person, place, or thing : strange

b : relating, belonging, or owing allegiance to another country or government : foreign

c : exotic

2: differing in nature or character typically to the point of incompatibility

D. Alien does not have to mean from another planet. The primary definition pertains to being from somewhere else than here, with a loyalty to some other ruling body or government. A lot of Chrisitians get really weird around this word. But there is no need to freak out! We are plainly told in the Bible, that there are powers and principalities that are interacting with us from another dimension. Remember this. Alien just means, not from this dimension. You know this!

E. In our past, we are have specific Biblical text pointing back to a time in our history when something not from our dimension (angels that were fallen) interacted sexually and genetically with humans.

Genesis 6

1When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

III. ALIEN ABDUCTIONS AND THE NEW HYBRIDS

A. We are asked a question: Could these myths and stories passed down to us about hybrids, half human and half alien, be rooted in truth? The answer is yes!!! We are told this is true in our scriptures. The fact that there are accounts of this from all over the world, in ancient cultures all over the world, should confirm for us that he scriptures are telling us the truth! What if we believed out Bibles?

B. Is there some reason why aliens would want to manipulate DNA and then reintroduce these mutants back into the gene pool? Yes!!! We know there was a reason.

C. It’s in the Proto Evangelium:

Genesis 3

14 The Lord God said to the serpent,

“Because you have done this,

cursed are you above all livestock

and above all beasts of the field;

on your belly you shall go,

and dust you shall eat

all the days of your life.

15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,

and between your offspring and her offspring;

he shall bruise your head,

and you shall bruise his heel.”

D. What the world is experiencing is nothing new. The Bible tells us there is nothing new under the sun. It may appear new. But it is, in point of fact, quite ancient.

E. It’s astounding to me that these ancient astronaut theorists are asking the very questions that are detailed in our scriptures, while coming to another conclusion. We know that we are fighting beings from another dimension, Christians may use other terms like demonic, or spirit. These theorists see all the facts, and rather than believing the Word, they would rather stake all their hope and place all their faith in aliens from another planet or galaxy. Why is it easier to believe this if these are beings from another galaxy, rather than another dimension? What makes this more palatable?

F. I want you to listen to a few minutes from a man who has spent more than 40 years researching the alien abduction phenomenon. He’s a retired history professor from Temple University, Dr. David Jacobs. He is not a Christian, to my knowledge. He’s not a spiritualist. He is a researcher. What he unfolds is the alien abduction phenomenon is one and the same as a hybridization program. It is about corrupting human DNA.

IV. THE GREAT DECEPTION AND THE GREAT HARVEST

A. Surely we are living in the end-times. No doubt, when we have more people who believe in aliens and UFO’s than believe in God, we must have an answer.

B. You are an image bearer. You are made in the image of God.

C. Rather than digging our heads in the sand, why don’t we have an answer for the questions this generation is asking? Don’t believe the lie that you are supposed to “stay in your lane.”

Psalm 24

1The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein…

D. We are warned about the coming Great Deception that marks the end-times. But I have good news. In the midst of this deception, there will also be a revival, unprecedented in it’s scope.

Revelation 14

14Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped.

E. Instead of trying to avoid the topics of our day, let’s be people who have taken the time to understand what is happening in our day, and more than that, let’s be people ready to give a Biblical interpretation. If the world is talking about aliens, let’s not shrink back. This is nothing new! Let’s declare the truth. Because it’s the truth that sets people free.
