I remember the first time I really thought about climate change, I was sitting in my 6th grade English class, and my teacher started talking about the tragedy happening in New Orleans. It was 2004, George Bush was President. I remember watching videos of people who looked like me and my friends climbing their houses because their entire neighborhood was underwater. I had nightmares for weeks. I remember my teacher briefly telling us about how climate change (what she called Global warming at the time) created a powerful storm like Hurricane Katrina that damaged and caused levis to fail. Levis, a structure that was a symbol of humans conquering mother nature, and then. *GEORGE BUSH DOESN’T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE* Hurricane Katrina became a global symbol of how climate change, climate policy (or lack thereof) can disproportionately affect people of color. This in my adult life, has led me to consider the fight for Climate Justice. We fight for health through social justice. Like Bodega’s, health is multifaceted. The barriers for folks from disadvantaged backgrounds are insurmountable. The problems run deeper than a lack of access to healthy food, and education. Issues like racial/social justice, climate change, and mental wellness are all barriers to better physical health. Our mission is to financially support these causes. 50% Of Our Profits Will Be Donated To Charities Fighting These Issues WE DON’T BELIEVE IN THE “FAT TAX” Many apparel companies believe consumers of bigger sizes should pay extra for being bigger. While our manufacturing partners agree, we do not. We Will Never Charge Extra For Extended Sizes SHOPPING SHOULD BE INCLUSIVE For folks in the LGBTQ+ community, the shopping experience is often driven by anxiety and dysmorphia. We do not believe in needlessly gendering clothing. Our clothes are for EVERY body.
