The All Powerful Powerless
Based on 1 Corinthians 1:27
“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”
This message focuses on Peter the bold cowering in the shadows of the judgement hall as Jesus is pronounced His death sentence.
None of us have ‘strong points’ we only have varying degrees of weak points. Our weakness is to show us our human limitations, that we might renounce all of our strength in ourselves and rest in the power of the Almighty, it is then that we realise God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Peter rose from the ashes of denial in true repentance to then lead a church to Pentecost.
The All Powerful gives power to the powerless.
