The Anatomy Of Change: How To Change Your Mindset To Change The Way You Lead
Manage episode 238533158 series 2342580
Do you ever feel a little stuck or that you lack focus when at work? Working inside, whether you’re stuck in an office or a warehouse or at home, means your brain has ‘less space’ to think. The challenge for most people is not having enough space in between their meetings or between their thoughts to allow their creative juices to flow and allow something better to come to them.
So it’s a good idea to look outside the window every now and then because it actually allows the brain to become a little bit more expansive when it sees space. So in this episode we’re taking a look at how to transition and a four-step framework you can use that we’re calling The Anatomy of Change.
Episode highlights:
- Working inside all day means your brain doesn’t have the space it needs to keep the creative juices flowing
- To be your best you need to learn to recalibrate and rebalance as you transition throughout the day from desk, to meeting, and back again
- One of the biggest problems is that most people want to change one thing in their lives - it doesn’t work that way
- To change some aspect of your life, you yourself have to think and respond differently
- The framework we use in any situation or event in our livesAccept that there will always be something you can’t control
- How do these situations make you feel? Sad? Disappointed? Unappreciated?
- You control the way you think and feel - what’s an alternative feeling that will leave you feeling empowered rather than victimised?
- Your response and actions to things determine your results
- How we used this framework for a flight we missed
- The importance of positive thinking - it will affect your energy if you continue to think like the victim
