The sports world lost an all-time icon, as Willie Mays passes away at age 93, but the outpouring of appreciation we saw immediately following the announcement was befitting of the legend he was, both on and off the field. RIP #24, I never saw him play but I was always acutely aware of how great he was, and that’s just how incredible the legacy he left behind was. And we bid farewell to another NBA season, as the Celtics are crowned champs, and we’ll recap what we saw throughout a somewhat lackluster NBA Finals, even as we look ahead to the NBA draft, free agency and Olympic hoops that are gonna help us get thru the offseason.
