Welcome to another episode of Mentor Minutes on the Mind of Business Success Podcast. I'm your host, Alicia Cramer. Let's start with a quick question: Are you high on life today? Are you crushing it in your business? Or is your mind getting the better of you?

In business, we all experience ups and downs, riding a roller coaster of emotions. One moment, you’re celebrating a breakthrough; the next, you’re dealing with setbacks. This is where mental discipline comes in. It's crucial to develop this skill to maintain balance and focus, even when things get tough.

So, what exactly is mental discipline? Some people think it means being happy all the time. As someone with a master's degree in metaphysical science and a deep understanding of universal laws, I can tell you it’s more about managing your energy and vibration. The law of attraction is always at work, shaping our experiences based on our thoughts and feelings.

When you're not feeling great, facing discouragement, fear, or insecurity, what does mental discipline look like? It’s about keeping yourself in check, acknowledging those feelings, and finding ways to process and release them. It’s not about suppressing emotions but rather understanding and managing them.

I saw a post on Facebook that really struck a chord with me. It was from someone who had tried to sell me an expensive service that I couldn’t justify purchasing. They were publicly bashing business coaches they had invested in. This behavior highlights a lack of self-discipline and accountability. We all need to take responsibility for our actions and emotions, both publicly and privately.

Mental discipline involves mindfulness and the ability to observe our thoughts and feelings. It’s about recognizing when we’re slipping into negative patterns and taking steps to interrupt those patterns. Techniques like NLP, pattern interrupts, or even just saying “stop” to yourself can be incredibly effective.

Sometimes, it’s as simple as allowing yourself to feel your emotions and let them pass. This can help you shift to a more positive state. Once you’ve processed your emotions, ask yourself how you want to think and feel instead. Visualize yourself as the successful person you aspire to be and embody that image.

Implementing these practices requires repetition and commitment. It’s not about never having negative thoughts again but about building the mental discipline to handle them constructively. Remember, knowing something intellectually isn’t enough; you have to apply it.

If you’re looking for more resources and guidance, consider joining the Business Mastery Academy. You’ll find a wealth of materials to help you develop these skills and more. You get your first month free, and it’s just $97 per month after that. We offer mindset reconditioning audios, business trainings from industry experts, and weekly group coaching.
