3. There are so many different types of short form videos available on social media platforms, and it can be overwhelming to know when and how to use them. Reels are specific to Instagram and Meta (Facebook) and can be up to 90 seconds long. Shorts are specific to YouTube and can be as long as 60 seconds at the time of this show’s production. Stories are on Instagram and Meta (Facebook) and can be up to 20 seconds. NOTE: LinkedIn does not currently have a short form video format specific to the platform.
4. First pick your video destination and a video topic/objective and then map out your message keeping in mind the length of short form video that resonates with your audience (use the storytelling format discussed in Episodes 13 & 14).
5. [TAKE ACTION] Do this now! Practice telling your chosen video topic (out loud) and time how long it takes you to tell it. Keep practicing until you can tell it within the framework of your choses format.
