In the eighteenth episode of "Divine Guidance," Duane Sheriff concludes his teaching on the importance of Multiple Witnesses in discerning God's voice and direction. In His love for us, God provides various confirmations to assure us that we hear His voice correctly and follow His will.
It is a believer's birthright to be led by the Spirit of God, referencing Romans 8:14: "For all who the Spirit of God leads are children of God." God wants us to have confidence and boldness in our faith, knowing we truly hear from Him. God confirms His word and leads through multiple witnesses.
To illustrate the concept of multiple witnesses, we can look at examples from biblical stories, such as Gideon's fleece test (Judges 6:36-40) and Elijah's reliance on divine signs. Gideon's request for supernatural confirmation before leading Israel into battle is a significant illustration of seeking assurance in high-risk decisions. We are not to be led by circumstances alone, but circumstantial evidence can confirm God's will when interpreted correctly.
