We are tasting the Ponzi Vineyards 2019 “Tavola” Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Pinot Noir is one of my favorite grapes and this is a great expression of it with a combination of red fruit, like cherry and raspberry, and savory notes, like baking spices and coffee. Now under the helm of two of founder’s daughters, Ponzi vineyards continues to win awards and accolades for their wine and the winery has earned sustainability awards. The daughters also created a wine auction to provide health care for vineyard workers and their families in the area.
