El sobrepeso y la obesidad se han convertido en el chivo expiatorio predilecto de la medicina. El paradigma actual asume que el sobrepeso y la obesidad están causando una epidemia de enfermedades crónicas. A consecuencia, medicos, nutricionistas y toda una industria valorada en miles de millones de euros, insisten en recetar dietas de restricción calórica aunque estas son perjudiciales para la salud mental y física de la población y tienen una tasa de fracaso del 95%!!!!

Mientras tanto, estudios indican claramente que NO es el sobrepeso en sí lo que aumenta el indice de enfermedades crónicas, sino la inflamación y todo lo que la genera (estrés, anciedad, traumas, toxinas, quimicos, etc.)

¿Por qué insistimos en obsesionarnos con el peso cuando esa no es la solución? El problema de fondo es la gordofobia, un prejuicio que acarreamos hace más de 400 años y que poco tiene que ver con la ciencia y la medicina. Y ese prejuicio no nos permite ver lo que realmente está pasando y por qué enfermamos.

En este episodio, hablamos de cómo romper con el paradigma actual, cuáles son las alternativas para identificar de raíz qué está causando ese incremento en enfermedades crónicas y qué cambios de vida realmente favorecen tu bienestar.
