Your host, Jeff Arnold, talks with the Founder and CEO of Tilled, Caleb Avery. Caleb's journey in the payments industry began at the young age of 19, selling payment solutions door to door. His experience consulting for vertical software companies revealed a gap in the market—these companies needed a way to monetize payments without the hefty fees from platforms like Stripe or Braintree.
Tilled was born out of this need, offering comparable technology but with a twist: enabling software companies to generate revenue from the payments flowing through their systems. It's a SaaS platform that empowers businesses to leverage payments for recurring revenue, a model that has been successful for giants like Toast, Shopify, and Mindbody, but was previously out of reach for smaller players.
