Lee Grossman is a proven leader in organization transformational change, building partnerships and coalitions, and fundraising, with extensive experience in the medical device industry, nonprofit association management, and patient advocacy arenas.
Mr. Grossman has had a diverse career, spanning more than 35 years of leadership experience across the private and nonprofit sectors. Grossman, who is the CEO of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) and the Co-Chair of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) Coalition has broad experience working with the medical industry, including 20+ years as president of a consulting firm that specialized in consulting, sales and marketing of medical products throughout the Pacific Rim.
Other previous positions include, President & CEO of the Autism Society of America (ASA) and ASA Foundation, CEO of the Association for Vascular Access and Association for Vascular Access Foundation, CEO of the International Dyslexia Association and Executive Director of the American Music Therapy Association. Through his career he has led coalitions that were successful in securing in excess of $1B in funding for research. As a patient advocate, he has presented at numerous conferences throughout the world including four times at the United Nations.
Mr. Grossman has served on multiple nonprofit boards as well as advisory boards through the National Health Council, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institutes of Health. He holds a master’s degree in leadership from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quantic School of Business and Technology, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University, and the Certified Association Executive credential through the American Society of Association Executives
