Have you ever felt like the universe was trying to tell you something? Or maybe you’ve noticed your inner critic rearing its ugly head again, despite all of the hard work you’ve devoted to personal growth and overcoming mindset blocks.

There’s an expectation that when we make a change in how we think, feel, and behave that we have moved past it and it never comes back. But that’s not the case - at all. The thing about shifting is not to get rid of the things we don’t like about ourselves - our inner critic, our dark sides, or our weaknesses. After all - extinguishing those would actually be taking away what makes us human.

So how do we shift the way we relate to shifting?

Today, I discuss why we need to shift the way we relate to shifting. I explain how many people perceive shifting as a way of eliminating negative thoughts, feelings, or weaknesses. I explain why it's not about becoming more perfect, but about how we relate to our human imperfections. I also explain how you can embrace your flaws, inner critic, and imperfections while continuing to move forward - even when it feels like you’ve taken a step back.

“Shifting is not to become more perfect or less ‘human’. It’s about how we relate to all of those parts of us that we don’t like.” - Erin Baker
