Sindhi Cheti Chand is a significant and sacred festival for the Sindhi community, marking the Sindhi New Year. This festival is primarily celebrated in reverence to Lord Jhulelal, the revered deity of the Sindhis. Cheti Chand falls on the first day of the month of Chaitra and signifies the beginning of the new year. On this day, Sindhi people sing devotional songs, organise processions with Jhulelal's depiction, and float lamps in water. This festival symbolises Sindhi culture, unity, and devotion to Lord Jhulelal.
