As we gear up for another great year full of #UFC Cards, the boys at The Kaizaan thought it would be a good idea to give a little demo on #UFCBetting! Obviously these tips and tricks can apply to betting across all major sports, but we will strictly be focusing on the UFC/#MMA! The Four Main sections we will touch on are:
To Win Fight (0:00): In this section, the boys specifically touch on the "To Win Match" portion of betting on a UFC Card. This is when an individual just wants to bet on who will win the fight! Pretty straightforward, and these picks can be used in parlays as well. One thing to consider is when using the "To Win Match" section of your book, in the event of a draw your bet will be returned/void.
Fight Outcome (7:15) In this video, the boys specifically touch on the "Method of Victory" portion of betting on a UFC Card. This is primarily used when an individual wants to bet how a fight will finish (ie via Submission, KO, TKO, DQ, by decision or a draw)! The different methods offered can vary by sportsbook, some have "The Finish" grouped into one category which includes KO, TKO, Submission or DQ. Other books may have these split up by specific category, which ends up spiking the odds of the outcome. In the scenario you believe the fight will go the distance, "by decision" or "by points" can be taken to essentially say the fighter you choose will win by judge's scorecard.
Round Betting (10:57) In this section, the boys specifically touch on the "Round Betting" portion of betting on a UFC Card. This applies to very specific calls where an individual wants to call the round a fighter will finish the fight. If you have a strong inclination that a fighter is going to win in a specific round, this is the section you would bet it!
Total Rounds/Fight to go the Distance (14:25) Total rounds are the UFC equivalent of "Over/Unders" in most professional sports, essentially attempting to predict when a fight will end. In most cases, the true line will be the midway point of a fight (ie 1.5 for a 3 round fight or 2.5 for a 5 round fight). Of course this can vary by fighter, as I'm sure a fight say between Derrick Lewis and Francis Ngannou would likely have a lower under round total given their finishing power! One thing to make sure when betting Total Rounds is ensuring your books rules for what this means. Say you have an Over of 2.5 rounds, on some books that may mean making it to the start of the third round, while other books this means getting to the 2:30 mark of the third round.
"To Go the Distance" is a simple Yes/No bet to say will this fight go to decision or will it be stopped for some other reason prior to the judge's scorecards! Obviously a very difficult thing to call in any fight, which is reflected in the high odds. Here we also see the options to "win by points' or for a draw. These lines should and will match the odds for "by decision" and "draw" in the "Method of Victory" section.
