No matter the view from your window, give thanks... for God is at work.
Are your skies dark and the future uncertain?
“O Lord, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you” (2 Chronicles 20:6 ESV).
Are you tempted to fear the awaiting enemy?
“And he said, ‘Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s’” (2 Chronicles 20:15 ESV).
Arise and make known your belief.
“And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness... stood and said, ‘Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed’” (2 Chronicles 20:20 ESV).
Be thankful for God is at work—His love endures forever.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever”(2 Chronicles 20:21 ESV).
Let’s journey together.
Praise You, O God, for You are alive.
You are at work across this world and beyond.
You are never surprised.
You are always faithful.
Your will, will be done and Your way made clear.
Guide my heart to seek You.
Guide my mind to discern Truth.
To You be all honor, and glory, and power forever.
Hallelujah.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
