There is a one-of-a-kind battle cannon on display at the Alamo. If you look down its barrel, you can see a layer of a chalky white substance. That substance is actually growing from the metal.

Featuring the Alamo's Senior Researcher & Historian Kolby Lanham, Texas A&M University Conservation Research Laboratory director Dr. Chris Dostal, and Texas A&M University PhD student Kim Breyfogle.
