Damon Wayans has been a household name since 1990, when the sketch comedy show In Living Color caught fire and launched the Hollywood careers of several of its stars, including Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier, and even Jennifer Lopez, who was one of the show’s dancers. Of course, Damon was one of several Wayans siblings involved with the show — Keenen Ivory Wayans created it, and along with Damon, brothers Marlon, Shawn, and Dwayne and sister Kim also appeared on the show regularly. It was definitely a labor of love for the Wayans family, and Damon — who is currently starring on the CBS comedy Poppa’s House – said it was their father who gave the kids a strong work ethic, and it’s still inspiring him to succeed today.
