The Big Stomp

Another trio of guests join Andrew Watton-Davies for a look at the big stories in the world of geek and pop culture in June 2020.

This episode's guests include podcaster and film reviewer Leslie Pitt, the wonderfully creative Nathan Blades and fellow Bunkazilla contributor Lizzie Barnes. As always, each guest brings a pop or geek culture themed topic to dissect and discuss.

Leslie talks about the life and career of Joel Schumacher, who sadly passed away in June. Infamously remembered for one Batman film but forgotten for a healthy body of cinematic titles like The Lost Boys, Flatliners and Tigerland.

Lizzie focuses her topic on how fans are trying to cope with the occasional problematic view of popular creators - highlighting the recent events surrounding J.K. Rowling.

Finally, Nathan sheds light on the amazing fundraising by itch.io who raised over $8 million dollars to help bring equality and racial justice during the Black Lives Matters protests.
