#062: Perspective is Powerful - The Eric Deems Show
Manage episode 311675209 series 3164974
We are experiencing the result of a generation that hasn't lived through real struggle. To compensate, many have created faux struggles and force us to hear about them.
In this episode, I share the story of a true American hero: Ned E. Seath, Lance Corporal, 3rd Marine Division, Dec '65 - July '66. He knew struggle and overcame tremendous adversity in the jungles of Vietnam where saved the lives of his fellow Marines. His story of valor and courage gives great perspective to what it means to be a hero and reminds us of how overused that word is today. It took 44 years, but eventually his fellow Marines saw to it that the decorated combat veteran was noticed for his bravery. In addition to his 4 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star, LCpl Seath was also awarded the Navy Cross. Tune in, won't you?
