She learned to play it herself, entered a contest, and became a teen pop star sensation in Paris. Ildy is a singer/songwriter who believes it's never too late. Starring in many shows across Europe in her 20's, she left to get married and raise her 2 children. Once they were grown, she became a TV host at age 76, released her first albums at age 81, was on America's Got Talent in her 70's, and is a movie star now at the age of 83. Oh, and let’s not forget her book that will probably be made into a film and the orphanage she helped built with her famous song, the Blind guitarist. Ildy's message is "don't ever give up on your dreams. It is never too late." And she should know. She has more energy and works harder than most people. My songs helped blind children and the homeless, fight violence-pollution-global warming-racial discrimination-war-etc. I sing in 12 languages and wrote 500 songs in three languages. As a destitute political refugee girl I came to Paris with just a suitcase but big dreams! People laughed at my oversized clothes and leaky shoes. When discovered on TV, I became a star and people stopped laughing. Music transformed my sad life into a Cinderella story! So my new friends, don't ever give up! Have big dreams, believe in yourself and be kind to others even if they laugh at you. Raise your head high, keep your eyes on your goals and you will reach them like I did!
