So blessed to have sat down with Soul, Reeph, and JUiCE from City Hippie for episode 24 of the HipHopHumboldt podcast! We chopped it up in JUiCE's studio in Arcata. They got into how they came up, what they've been doing during the pandemic, the pitfalls and hardships of the game, how they keep current with today's social media trends, and all kinds of popular topics including PnB Rock's murder in Los Angeles, the Queen's death, classism, guns and grime music in the UK, marketing the music in other countries(PEEP FREE GAME FROM JUiCE), the importance of consistency and self promotion, ghostwriting, Drake's "Honestly Nevermind", our favorite tracks from J.I.D.'s "The Forever Story", Ty Dolla $ign, and Roddy Rich. They talked about opening for B.o.B at the Mateel earlier this year, and artists that put on good shows versus artists that don't. There were some gems and some really fun moments.
