We are often told: keep your dreams realistic. This automatically assumes there are limitations, whether they’re ones that society places on us or ones we place on ourselves. But if you could do absolutely anything in life, what heights would your dreams reach?
Someone who is familiar with answering this question (and is now getting the chance to ask it back!) is our guest this week, Damian Martin. A country boy who grew up on a dairy farm in a town of less than 3,000 people, Damian has now traveled all over the country and the world in pursuit of his dreams of playing basketball at an elite level. He’s now represented Australia at a domestic and international level with his efforts culminating in 6 NBL championships, an eponymous trophy, and a spot on the 2016 Rio Olympics basketball team. Going behind the scenes of his journey on the way to victory, he shares the unseen sacrifices, passion, and dedication it takes to achieve your dreams.
