The Transfiguration in Mark 9 is a pivotal moment in the ministry of Jesus. It marks a shift in the middle of the story from popularity to confrontation, from success toward suffering. And yet, at the top of a mountain, Jesus' inner circle gets a glimpse of who he truly is. It's a moment shrouded in mystery but loaded with meaning. But more than anything, the question that hovers over this scene like a cloud on the mountain is this -- now that we've seen Jesus, will we actually listen to him? NOTES -- // SCRIPTURE FOCUS -- Mark 9.2-13 // Moses, Elijah, and the whole Old Testament are lights—like stars shining in a dark world. But Jesus is now the SHINING SUN.
