The company is said to be splitting its source code to comply with US regulations, but this could result in a different user experience and algorithm support. The US government's concerns revolve around potential spying and the influence TikTok has on its users. However, there are also suspicions that the US is trying to protect its own IP and prevent the transfer of valuable technology to other countries.
