In this episode, we're joined by advocate, non-profit leader, and storyteller Lauren Sivak. Lauren shares ways that arts leaders are overhauling the creative sector, by discarding old cultural norms of systemic labor and pay inequality. A passionate advocate from an early age, Lauren describes the ah-ha moments from her career journey that motivate her to speak up for change. She also highlights her experiences with several local initiatives seeking to close the pay equity gap for artists, including the "Leap to 15" policy initiative she has led as Managing Director of Chicago's 2nd Story, Mayor Lori Lightfoot's 2019 Arts & Culture transition committee, and the Managing Director Round Table.
