We are pumped to welcome a fellow snacker and registered dietician, Lauren Hubert to the podcast! She is bringing all sort of snack-wealth knowledge with all things FALL. But PSL is so yesterday; she shares her most favorite off-the-menu AND HEALTHY Starbucks drink options for you to try for Fall (and beyond!)

Lauren Hubert MS, RD is the Registered Dietitian and CEO behind her online private practice, The Sorority Nutritionist (TSN), where she helps women learn how to eat for sustainable fat loss. Lauren knows firsthand the struggles of understanding food science because she was in the shoes the women she's coached. Lauren gained twenty pounds as a freshman at Florida State University where she went on to get a Bachelor's in Dietics and Master's in Nutrition so she could inspire and teach women how to eat and approach weight loss with a simple, flexible and actually enjoyable approach.

Fall meal ideas:

  • PUMPKIN!! canned pumpkins (smoothies, chocolate chip, muffin // many vitamin and minerals!)
  • Smoothies -- perfect for snacking -- keep the solids for meals! Apple Pie seasoning
  • Roasted veggies (bowls)
  • Frittata or Quiche with fall veggies
  • Carrot coins

LOW CALORIE PUMPKIN OAT COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl to form a thick dough.
  • Use your hand to create 12 cookie shapes
  • Prepare the baking pan with parchment paper or place cookies directly on
  • the pan. Bake for 10 minutes
  • Remove from the oven for a few minutes, wait five minutes for cookies to
  • cool... then dive in and enjoy!

Trader Joe's fall foods:

  • Canned pumpkin
  • Honey roasted pumpkin ravioli with protein (airfryer)
  • Plantain chips
  • Sourdough bread
  • Avocados
  • Reduced fat guacamole
  • Cauliflower rice with seasons

Starbucks Fall offerings:

  • Ice shaken esperesso, pumpkin and chai pumps, and whatever milk (Iced Pumpkin Chai)
  • Grande Coffee with pump of pumpkin and vanilla and milk of your choice

Snacks of the Week:

  • Jami: Gingerale (on a plane)
  • Fallon: Barebells Protein Bars
  • Lauren: Key Lime Pie greek yogurt (Icelandic Skur)
