Talking with three high school theatre teachers about their time teaching during COVID-19, their goals for the upcoming school year, and what challenges they face when teaching high school theatre.

About The Host

Kenneth L. Waters, Jr. (He/Him) has been involved in theater for over a decade around the DMV area. He is a graduate from The College of Southern Maryland and Frostburg State University with degrees in Theatrical Design and Performance. He is currently the Production Stage Manager at Roxy Regional Theatre in Clarksville, Tennessee. He has been involved in numerous productions both on and off stage.

About The Guests

Michael A. Dendy (He/Him) is currently teaching theatre at Washington County High School in Sandersville, GA. He is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. He has many credits under his belt both on stage and directorial. Some highlights include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Billy Elliot, Sister Act, The Grapes of Wrath, Other Desert Cities, Eurydice, and he is currently directing American Idiot!

Meghann McFadden (She/Her) teaches theatre at Northeast High School in Clarksville, TN, which is the same high school she attended and was an active member of her school’s International Thespian Society. Meghann loves being able to connect with teenagers and give them a safe space to express their creativity.

Jackson Long (He/Him) is going into his 11th year as a Theatre Arts and Digital Media teacher. He has been teaching at Westlake High School in Waldorf, Maryland since 2012. He loves teaching playwriting and improvisational acting.
