It has been revealed that Expropriation of land without compensation has harshly affected the affordable housing market. One company reports that the demand for affordable housing dropped by over 40% in the past two months as homeowners or potential homeowners believe that they will be given a free house - removing them from the buyers pool. The issue is escalated by tenants living in affordable housing failing to pay their rent as they believe they are entitled to free housing and land.
