How does remembering something affect our future decision making? What would change if we as a species made a dedicated effort to compile knowledge and learn from the past? Here Phil, James, and Derek shoot the poot trying to figure out how a loss of culture, methods, and ideas can affect the future. We wonder how much would actually change if humans made a collective effort to "take more notes" on reality and its processes. It seems, despite having our history in front of us, we still never learn our lessons. As Derek says, sometimes we just get better at committing the atrocities from the past.
