Feminism! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing! Or is it? On today's show, Kristin and Jeni discuss the history of feminism and where we are today. Is third wave feminism helping or hurting women and is it really necessary? Or should we take a page from the post-feminism book and declare that we've achieved our objectives and can leave the bra buring behind? March 8th is the declared Day Without Women, but what would happen if we had a Day Without Men? We end with a discussion on radical versus individualist feminism, and a quote from Wendy McElroy: "The Great Truth is that women in our society constitute one of the most privileged and powerful classes of human beings on earth. The challenge is to make women believe in their power. 'Woman as victim' is an idea whose time has passed. The idea of woman as a survivor and a success must take its place." As many of you have heard, Berkeley was overrun by "Black Bloc Anarchists" on Wednesday night, interrupting a peaceful protest of Milo Yiannopoulos's presence on campus with a violent riot that resulted in property damage and fires. In this episode we discuss why identity politics and collectivism is the root of these issues by examining Berkeley's violent protest, as well as incidents that have occurred at Yale, University of Toronto, and Providence University. For more information on the cases we discussed, please visit the following links: Jordan Peterson's free speech debate at the University of Toronto: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDvj6DQd93oProfessor Anthony Esolen's articles on Catholicism and diversity: My College Succumbed to the Totalitarian Diversity Cult: http://www.crisismagazine.com/2016/college-succumbed-totalitarian-diversity-cultThe Narcissism of Campus Diversity Activists: http://www.crisismagazine.com/2016/the-narcissism-of-campus-diversity-activists ?If you love the show, be sure to subscribe to our show on iTunes, and give it a 5 star review! https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/two-quiet-girls-talking/id1193291809?mt=2 Also, like and follow us on Facebook for updates: https://www.facebook.com/twoquietgirls/…

Happy new year! In today's show, Kris and Jen start off by talking about their new year's resolutions and how to make them effective using Gretchen Rubin's Tendencies. If you want to find out what your tendency is, go to http://www.gretchenrubin.com/ and under Tips & Quizzes, click on Take the Habits Quiz. Then we tackle the topic of our future President. Kris and Jen discuss what they expect out of a Trumpian Presidency, the reactions of the Liberty Movement, and whether Trump is anti-establishement or exactly where the elites want him to be. Then, we break down his cabinet picks - the good, bad, and ugly- to determine if he really plans to drain the swamp, or if he is choosing the same ol' Washington insiders. Below, please find links to the articles we refer to in today's episode. Join us in two weeks as we wrap up our discussion on Trump and discuss identity politics, a subject that is creating chaos and controversy at many ivy-league colleges.
