____
The world of investing is full of advice.
Advice of what stocks you should buy, advice of what investment philosophies you should follow, and just general advice about what you should do with your money.
And oftentimes we follow this advice. Because if it’s coming from an expert, who has a lot more experience than we do, and who has had a lot of success in the past, who are we to question it?
This is generally called “Copy-Cat” investing. Doing exactly as the experts tell us to do.
But what if that way of thinking could be hugely detrimental to the long term success of your portfolio?
What if copying what an expert is doing without the full understanding of why they are doing it could cause you to make huge mistakes when market conditions inevitably change?
In this episode, we make you question everything. We provide the mental models and approaches to thinking, to help you make long term and successful investments, all on your own.
And to do this, we spoke to Raunak Onkar, who is the Research Head and a Fund Manager at PPFAS.
