Born in New York City into a conservative Jewish family. He was converted to Christ in 1976 while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a marksmanship instructor. At the time he was preparing to attend rabbinical seminary when discharged from the Marines. He has been the pastor of Christ Bible Church in Pleasanton, CA, since 1990. He is the President of First Love Ministries (www.firstlovepublications.org, www.firstlovemissions.org and www.firstloveradio.org), and is the Pastor-at-Large with Family Radio (www.familyradio.org).
