Nghe Sau Nghe Sau Danh sách Thích Đã thíchThe clown هاینریش بل با نوشتن این کتاب موفق به دریافت جایزه نوبل ادبیات در سال ۱۹۷۲ شد. عقاید یک دلقک (به آلمانی: Ansichten eines Clowns)، کتابی نوشتهٔ هاینریش بل نویسندهٔ آلمانی است که در ۱۹۶۳ نوشته شده‌است. همچنین در سال ۱۹۷۶ وویکش یاسنی کارگردان اهل جمهوری چک فیلمی از این رمان ساخته است. با صدای آرمان سلطان زاده خلاصه داستان این کتاب دربارهٔ دلقکی به نام هانس شنیر است که معشوقه‌اش، ماری، او را بابت دلایل مذهبی ترک کرده و وارد رابطه با مردی کاتولیک به نام هربرت تسوپفنر شده‌است که دارای نفوذ مذهبی و سیاسی قابل توجهی است. هانس به همین دلیل دچار افسردگی شده و مرض‌های همیشگی‌اش، مالیخولیا و سردرد تشدید یافته. از این رو برای تسکین آلام خود به مشروب رو آورده است. به قول خودش «دلقکی که به مشروب روی بیاورد، زودتر از یک شیروانی ساز مست سقوط می‌کند». فقط دو چیز این دردها را تسکین می‌دهند: مشروب و ماری. مشروب یک تسکین موقتیست ولی ماری نه؛ ولی او رفته. سراسر داستان روایت چند ساعتی است که هانس شنیر از بوخوم به زادگاهش بن باز می‌گردد و بعد از ناامیدی عاطفی و حس تنهایی و فقری که به او دست می‌دهد برای اجرا با گیتار به ایستگاه راهآهن بن می‌رود. در خلال این مدت او به صورت نامنظم و غیرخطی خاطراتی را تعریف می‌کند که برای خواننده روشن می‌کند که چطور وضعیت او به این‌جا کشیده است. [۱] داستان از جایی شروع می‌شود که زانوی هانس در اجرای ضعیف و رقت انگیزی که در شهر بوخوم داشته‌است مجروح می‌شود. کسی که نمایش را به او سفارش داده مردی به نام کاسترت است که برای خیریه‌های مذهبی کار می‌کند. کاسترت نه تنها دستمزد هانس را کمتر از مقداری که پیش‌تر با او توافق کرده‌است می‌پردازد، بلکه نقدی تند علیه نمایش ضعیف او می‌نویسد و با این کار موجی از رسوایی هنری برای هانس پدید می‌آید که منجر به کنسل شدن برنامه‌های آیندهٔ او به صورت یک‌طرفه می‌گردد. در بازگشت به بن، هانس که آدم ولخرجی است، جز یک سکهٔ یک مارکی، که آن هم در خلال داستان با پرتاب کردن به بیرون از پنجره از دست می‌دهد، چیزی ندارد. به همین دلیل دفترچه تلفنش را باز می‌کند و شروع به تماس با آشنایان می‌گیرد. هانس نخستین بار به کینکل تلفن می‌کند و با خشم به او می‌گوید این که ماری برای بودن با مردی دیگر او را ترک کرده‌است، مصداق فحشا است و تهدید می‌کند اعضای گروه کاتولیکی که ماری را از او جدا کرده‌اند، خواهد کشت. هانس سپس با برادرش لئو که چندی است مذهب خود را از پروتستانیسم به کاتولیسیزم تغییر داده است تلفن می‌کند. مردی که ظاهراً منشی کلیسا هست دو مرتبه تلفن را بر می‌دارد و می‌گوید که افراد کلیسا در حال صرف وعدهٔ ناهار هستند. کشیش زومرویلد، از اعضای گروه کاتولیکی که هانس او را سخت در این که ماری ترکش کرده‌است مقصر می‌داند، با هانس تماس می‌گیرد و سعی می‌کند آتش خشم او او را فروبنشاند و به او توصیه می‌کند که ماری را فراموش کند و زن دیگری را وارد زندگی خود کند. هانس در حین مشاجرهٔ تلفنی با زومرویلد متوجه می‌شود که ماری در آن هنگام با تسوپفنر برای ماه عسل به رم رفته است، مقصدی که به دلیل حضور پاپ در آن‌جا ماری قبلا پیشنهاد هانس برای سفر به آن را رد کرده بود. در همین اثنا تسونرر، مدیر برنامه‌های هانس، به او تلفن کرده و می‌گوید پس از اجرای ضعیفی که در بوخوم داشته باید لااقل شش ماه را دور از صحنه به سر برد. هانس که تا قبل از آن از افسردگی عاطفی و مالیخولیا در رنج بوده‌است، با شنیدن این خبر پی می‌برد که در مخمصهٔ بی‌پولی هم گرفتار شده‌است و با خود می‌اندیشد که از چه کسانی می‌تواند پول قرض کند. در همین اثنا پدر هانس به او سر می‌زند و پیشنهاد می‌دهد که برای تحصیل در هنرپیشگی کمدی به آموزشگاه برود و متعهد به پرداخت هزینهٔ تحصیل او می‌شود. بعد از آن که هانس این پیشنهاد را رد می‌کند، با وجود لحظات نسبتا پراحساسی که بین پدر و پسر سپری می‌شود، پدر هانس می‌گوید که تنها حاضر است مبلغ اندکی به او کمک مالی بدهد. با رفتن پدر، مونیکا زیلوز، زنی از گروه کاتولیکی که از قرار معلوم به هانس علاقمند است، با او تماس می‌گیرد. ولی از آن‌جا که هانس خود را موجودی «تک‌همسر» می‌داند، ارتباط خاصی بین آن‌ها شکل نمی‌گیرد. با فرا رسیدن شب لئو با هانس تماس می‌گیرد و می‌گوید که می‌تواند مبلغی در حدود شش مارک به او بدهد. هانس در ضمن صحبت با لئو متوجه می‌شود برادرش روابط دوستانه با تسوپفنر دارد و ملاحظات مذهبی او باعث شده که از ملاقات حضوری با هانس اکراه داشته باشد. این مسئله خشم هانس را بر می‌انگیزد و به لئو می‌گوید که دیگر لازم نیست که برای ملاقات با او به خانه‌اش بیاید. هانس در این میان بارها به گذشته می‌رود و خاطراتش را می‌گوید. هانس تعریف می‌کند که در خانوادهٔ متمول شنیر که سهامدار تعداد زیادی کسب و کار در آلمان هستند به دنیا آمده است. با این حال خلقیات بخیلانهٔ پدر و مادرش باعث شده بوده که او هیچ گاه بهرهٔ چندانی از این ثروت نبرد. مادر هانس در واپسین روزهای جنگ جهانی دوم باغ آن‌ها را برای تمرین نظامی در اختیار تتمهٔ ارتش نازی قرار می‌دهد. هانس یک برادر کوچکتر به نام لئو دارد که به صورت پسری تودار و مطیع تصویر می‌شود که در زمان روایت داستان کشیش کلیسای کاتولیک شده‌است. خواهر آن‌ها، هنریته، در روزهای آخر جنگ برای خدمت در یک دفاع ضد هوایی همراه تعدادی دیگر از نوجوانان به خارج از شهر ارسال می‌شوند و پس از چندی خبر مرگ آن‌ها به خانوادهٔ شنیر می‌رسد. قلب هانس بارها در طول داستان از یادآوری خواهرش و این که احساسات لطیف او چطور از سوی اعضای خانواده، خصوصا مادر، نادیده گرفته می‌شد، به درد می‌آید. دربارهٔ آشنایی با ماری، هانس تعریف می‌کند که از دوران مدرسه به او علاقه داشته‌است. پس از آن که هانس ترک تحصیل می‌کند تا به کار دلقکی روی بیاورد، به نوعی از خانواده و طبقهٔ خود طرد می‌شود و در این میان پدر ماری، مارتین درکوم، که مردی چپ‌گراست که هم در دوران نازی‌ها و هم در دوران پساجنگ به حاشیه رانده شده‌است و با گرداندن یک مغازهٔ نوشت‌افزار فروشی گذران زندگی می‌کند، به نوعی برای او نقش مرشد را بازی می‌کند. شبی که ماری در حال آمادگی برای امتحانات نهایی است، در حالی که هانس ۲۱ سال و ماری ۱۹ سال دارد، هانس مخفیانه به اتاق ماری می‌رود و شبی را با او می‌گذراند. فردای آن روز ماری بجای شرکت در امتحان در انتظار هانس به کلن می‌گریزد. هانس با پولی که از لئو قرض می‌کند به او ملحق می‌شود و بعد از آن زندگی آن‌ها دائما در سفر در بین مقصدهایی که هانس در آن‌جا برنامه کمدی اجرا می‌کند می‌گذرد. این که هانس حاضر نمی‌شود عقد خود را به صورت کلیسایی و دفتری با ماری رسما ثبت کند و نیز سرباززدنش از این که بچه‌هایشان را با تربیت کاتولیکی بار خواهند آورد، زمینهٔ اختلاف میان هانس و ماری را ایجاد می‌کند. در این خلال ماری به‌طور فزاینده‌ای از هانس فاصلهٔ عاطفی می‌گیرد و به گروه مذهبی زومرویلد که تسوپفنر هم در آن عضویت دارد نزدیک می‌شود. در حالی که شش سال از رابطهٔ هانس و ماری می‌گذرد و هانس برای حفظ ماری حاضر می‌شود تعهدات مذهبی و قانونی مدنظر ماری را به او بدهد، صبح روزی می‌بیند که ماری با نوشتن نامه‌ای او را ترک کرده‌است. هانس تعریف می‌کند که چطور بارها برای ماری نامه نوشته است و تلاش کرده او را برای بازگشت مجاب کند ولی هیچ‌کدام از این نامه‌ها پاسخی دریافت نکرده‌اند. هانس شنیر دلقک، تنها به اتاق خود در بن، پناه برده‌است و چند ساعت شکست‌های زندگی عاطفی و حرفهایش را جمع‌بندی می‌کند تا بعد برود مانند گدایی بر پله‌های ایستگاه راهآهن بنشیند و بازگشت ماری، زن محبوبش را که از دست داده‌است و هم امروز باید از سفر ماه عسل به رم بازگردد، انتظار بکشد (یا به هر حال چنین وانمود کند). داستان در حالی تمام می‌شود که هانس با پودر و روغنی کهنه خودش را گریم می‌کند و با بالشی به عنوان نشست‌گاه و یک گیتار به راهآهن می‌رود. برای او فقط دو نخ سیگار مانده است که یکی را دود می‌کند و دیگری را در کلاهی کنار خودش می‌گذارد تا رهگذران بدانند علاوه بر پول می‌توانند با سیگار هم به او کمک کنند. دقایقی بعد رهگذری سکه‌ای در کلاه هانس می‌اندازد و هانس به نواختن گیتار و آواز خواندن ادامه می‌دهد. مسائل اجتماعی ظاهراً، این رمان نمایانگر جامعه آلمان تحت تأثیر هیتلر و سال‌های بعد از جنگ است. این داستان زوایای مختلف جامعه از جمله عقاید سیاسی و مذهبی، مسائل زناشویی، تعارضات بین کاتولیک‌ها و پروتستان‌ها، تأثیر جنگ بر خانواده‌ها و بسیاری موارد دیگر در آلمان را نقد می‌کند. کتاب تک‌گویی بلندی، ساخته از «ملاحظات» (یا عقاید) آدمی سرخورده و مایه گرفته از خاطره‌های شخصی است که تنها چند مکالمه تلفنی و ملاقات کوتاه پدر آن را قطع می‌کند. هانس شنیر، برخلاف اکثر شخصیت‌ها در داستان‌های کوتاهی که بول پس از جنگ نوشته‌است، در خانواده‌ای سرمایه دار به دنیا آمده‌است. استعدادش در کار معرکه‌گیری، از او (در دل جامعه‌ای مرفه) انسانی مرتد ساخته‌است. او به نسلی تعلق دارد که اگرچه جوان‌تر از آن بودند که در آخرین دسته‌های هیتلری نام‌نویسی کنند اما در میان شعارهای ناسیونال سوسیالیستی بزرگ شده‌اند. جامعهٔ نو مرفه آلمان غربی که بر ویرانه‌های آلمان نازی بنا شده‌است، در چشم او به‌طور قطع مشکوک است؛ بدان لحاظ که دست‌اندرکاران آن، که همگی کمابیش بدنامند، امروزه به بهای کمی برای خود وجدان راحت خریداری می‌کنند: حتی مادر او رئیس «کمیته‌ای برای نزدیک ساختن نژادها» است. در حال و هوای بازسازی، کاتولیسیسم به اصطلاح «ترقی‌خواه» که در محافل بورژوایی بن خودنمایی می‌کند، در ریاکاری عمومی سهیم است. همه ترشرویی هانس شنیر بر همین کاتولیسیسم متمرکز است؛ وانگهی انگیخته از دلایلی شخصی است: ماری که مدت شش سال همدم او بود، ترکش گفته‌است تا با یکی از همان «کاتولیک‌های متجدد و سرشار از آینده»، که از دست‌اندرکاران جلو صحنه‌است، ازدواج کند. این ریاکاری منزجرکننده خاص افراد آلمان غربی نیست؛ هانس در خلال داستان تعریف می‌کند که چطور وقتی مسئولان فرهنگی آلمان شرقی که می‌دانستند موضوع نمایش‌های هانس شوخی با دستگاه سیاسی، فرهنگی و مذهبی همسایهٔ غربیشان است، او را برای اجرای آن نمایش‌ها به عنوان بخشی از پروپاگاندای سوسیالیستی به کشورشان دعوت می‌کنند و وقتی هانس به آن‌ها می‌گوید که عناصر نمایش او وام گرفته از مناسبات اجتماعی و فرهنگی محل اجرای نمایش است و لذا مایل است که با خود فضای آلمان شرقی شوخی کند، مسئولان فرهنگی خشمگین شده و عذر او را می‌خواهند. شنیر مدعی است که رنگ و روغن «صادقانه» چهره معرکه‌گیر را در برابر ریاکاری اجتماعی قرار می‌دهد. اما، دهن کجی دلقک، که با طرز پاسخی زیباشناختی اخلاقی شکل می‌گیرد، مضحک است. مؤخره عجیب و غریبی که طی آن هانس شنیر ورشکستگی خود را با خوش‌رویی به نمایش درمی‌آورد، تصویری حاکی از تسلیم و رضا از هنرمند به دست می‌دهد؛ و آخرین کلام رمان می‌گوید که، با این حال، «به آواز خواندن ادامه داد». عقاید یک دلقک به حق رمان پایان عصر آدناوئر صدر اعظم آلمان است. بل می‌خواست بر روی نقش کلیسای کاتولیک روم تمرکز کند تا تأثیر آن بر اروپا را نشان دهد. به‌علاوه اخلاقیات و سیاست آن زمان را نشان داد: کلیسا رابطهٔ بین کاتولیک‌ها و پروتستان‌ها را محدود ساخت و جامعهٔ آلمان را در زمرهٔ گروه‌های مذهبی دسته‌بندی کرد. اگرچه در این رمان، پروتستان‌ها به عنوان افرادی ثروتمندتر نمایش داده می‌شوند، اما بل نشان می‌دهد که جامعه، به ویژه ازنظر در مسائل سیاسی و اخلاقی، عمدتاً تحت تأثیر کاتولیک‌ها بوده‌است. شخصیت اول داستان، یعنی هانس، از هیچ یک از این دو گروه سودی نمی‌برد. او به گفته خودش یک لامذهب و به تعبیر معشوقه‌اش، ماری، یک «لاادری» است، اما لامذهبی که اقوامی هم کاتولیک و هم پروتستان دارد و در مراسم‌های هردو مذهب شرکت می‌کند (اگرچه عقایدی کاملاً متفاوت با هر دو طرف دارد). حتی با اینکه اجرای موفقی در هنر دلقکی دارد، کارش مورد تأیید گروه‌های سیاسی نیست؛ ولی بعد از آسیب دیدن زانوی چپش، نمی‌تواند به خوبی گذشته اجرا داشته باشد. در پایان، آن دوران را اینگونه توصیف می‌کند: «اگر دوران ما شایسته نامی باشد، باید نامش را عصر فحشا نامید.» اختلاف ها و دوگانگی ها در داستان‌ها تعارضاتی دیده می‌شود؛ اما نویسنده قصد داشته به جای جامعه، بیشتر بر روی شخصیت‌های داستان تمرکز کند. درواقع، این جامعه یا به زبانی دقیق تر، مذهب بود که باعث رفتن معشوقهٔ هانس بعنوانی زنی کاتولیک شد. به علاوه، این رمان نشان می‌دهد که تنها یک مجوز مکتوب، ازدواج یک زوج را قطعی می‌کند. دومین تعارض مهم این کتاب، شخصیت هانس دربرابر خودش می‌باشد. هانس یک ایدئولوژی مشخص دربارهٔ زندگی دارد. اما بعد از رفتن ماری، او درمانده می‌شود. با خودش حرف می‌زند و از نظر روانی، بیمار می‌شود. برای مثال، وقتی می‌خواهد خودش را گریم کند، چند دقیقه در آینه به خودش زل می‌زند و فکر می‌کند آن شخص، کس دیگری است و دچار نوعی فوبیا می‌شود. جدا از این، او به راحتی می‌تواند پیشنهاد پدرش را بپذیرد یا به دوستی برادرش، لئو، با تروپسفنر اهمیت چندانی ندهد اما به خودش وفادار است و عقایدش را بخاطر پول نمی‌فروشد. در این زمان، هانس با تسوپفنر و حتی ماری دچار تعارض می‌شود. بعلاوه، بخاطر مسائل مالی و گذشته، تعارضاتی با پدر و برادرش نیز دارد. از سوی دیگر در داستان اشاره می‌شود که ماری دو مرتبه سقط جنین داشته‌است و ظاهراً بدون آن که هانس مشکلی تناسلی داشته باشد، رحم ماری نمی‌تواند جنین را نگه دارد. ولی هانس در کابوس‌هایی که از زندگی مشترک ماری با تسوپفنر می‌بیند، آن‌ها را صاحب فرزند تصور می‌کند. البته تمام این‌ها با توجه به این که راوی در ابتدای داستان اشاره می‌کند که بعد از این که ماری او را ترک کرده‌است، مالیخولیا در او پیشرفت کرده‌است، قابل توجیه است. انتشار در ایران چاپ‌های اول، دوم و سوم این کتاب در ایران قبل از انقلاب اسلامی به ترتیب در سال‌های ۱۳۴۹، ۱۳۵۳ و ۱۳۵۷ با ترجمهٔ شریف لنکرانی توسط شرکت سهامی کتاب‌های جیبی صورت گرفت. بعد از انقلاب اسلامی در ایران، مؤسسات نشری دیگری ترجمهٔ شریف لنکرانی را انتشار دادند که از جملهٔ آن‌ها موسسه انتشاراتی امیرکبیر است. همچنین ترجمهٔ محمد اسماعیل‌زاده از این اثر توسط نشر چشمه منتشر گردیده است و همچنین انتشارات پرثوآ . شرکت نوار نسخهٔ صوتی ترجمهٔ شریف لنکرانی را با صدای علی عمرانی منتشر کرده‌است. گفتنی است که در نسخه‌های چاپ شده بعد از انقلاب بعضی از بخش‌های این کتاب که ارجاعات جنسی داشته‌اند، سانسور شده، یا ترجمهٔ آن‌ها با مختصری تصرف صورت He is twenty-seven years old from a very wealthy family. At the beginning of the story he arrives in Bonn, Germany. As a clown, he had to travel across the country from city to city to perform as an artist. He always sees himself as an artist. His home is in Bonn, so he has to stay in hotels when he is not in Bonn. The woman he has been living with, Marie, has left him to marry another man, Zupfner. Therefore Hans has become depressed. He wants to get Marie back from Zupfner, and also has serious financial problems. He describes himself as a clown with no church affiliation. His parents, devout Protestants, sent him to a Catholic school. He met Marie in school and fell in love with her. Although Marie was a Catholic, she agreed to live with him. They never got legally married, largely because Hans would not agree to sign a paper agreeing to raise his children as Catholics. He did not even want to get a marriage license, because he thought that they were for people who did not go to church. While living together, they never had any children. Marie always stated that even though she was living in sin, she was still a Catholic. Once in high school, Hans saw her holding hands with Zupfner, but she told him that Zupfner was only a friend. Hans brought her along on every trip and took her everywhere he went. After five years, there was a Catholic conference near their hotel in a German city. Marie wanted to breathe some Catholic air and ask Hans to go there. Hans had a performance at the same time. When they arrived late at night, he fell asleep. The next morning, he discovered Marie was gone, but had left a note. He never saw her again. The note read: “I must take the path that I must take.” Hans has a mystical peculiarity, as he can detect smells through the telephone. As he explains, he does not only suffer from depression, headaches, laziness and that mystical ability, but also suffers from his disposition to monogamy. There is only one woman that he can live with: Marie. His reversal of values is clearly shown in his statement: "I believe that the living are dead, and that the dead live, not the way Protestants and Catholics believe it." When he goes to his home in the Bonn, the first person he meets is his millionaire father. He remembers all of his memories from the past. He had a sister named Henrietta. The family forced her to volunteer for anti-aircraft duty seventeen years ago and she never came back. He also has a brother named Leo. He recently converted to Catholicism and is studying theology in college. Hans tells his father about his financial problems. After his father offers him to work for him for a relatively low wage, Hans rejects the offer. He tells his father that he and his brother never benefited from the wealth of their family. War has affected the family. They were never given enough food or pocket money. Many things were regarded as extravagances. Thus, he lacks any positive memories of the past, which may have been a factor that drove him, at age 21, to leave home to become a clown. He calls many of his relatives in Bonn, but nobody can help him. He soon discovers that Marie is now in Rome on her honeymoon. This news only depresses him more. Finally, he calls his brother, Leo, who promises to bring him money the next day. But, in the middle of the conversation, Leo says that he has talked to Zupner about something and that they became friends. Because Leo has converted to Catholicism, his father no longer supports him. Therefore, Leo is not in a good position financially. In anger, Hans tells him not to come to bring the money. At the end, Hans takes his guitar to the train station and plays as people throw coins into his hat. Social issues[ edit ] Böll's novel reflects the German society under Hitler and in the postwar years. It criticises many aspects of society such as political and religious beliefs, marriage issues, the conflict between Catholics and Protestants, the effect of war on families (a millionaire one), and many other things in the society of Germany. Heinrich Böll revealed all of those postwar problems and related them to some psychological aspects that harmed a man with some weird beliefs like Hans. Böll sought to focus on the role of the Roman Catholic Church, to exhibit its role in Europe. He includes a depiction of establishment moralities and politics in the novel. The church limited the relations between Catholics and Protestants, and it categorized German society into religious groups. Although the Protestants are shown as richer people in the novel, Böll portrays society was mainly under the influence of Catholics, especially in political and moral issues. The protagonist Hans does not get any benefit from either group. He is shown as a kind of pagan, but a pagan who has some Protestant and Catholic relatives and participates in some ceremonies of both religions — although his beliefs are quite different from either. Even his clown's art does not win approval from some political parties, although he is a great performer. But after he injures his left knee, he is unable to perform as well as before. In conclusion, he describes the age in this statement: "If our era deserves a name, it would have to be called the era of prostitution." Conflicts[ edit ] There are some conflicts in the story, mainly on character versus society. In fact, it was religion, that takes his wife away and saw him ineligible to have a Catholic wife. Also, this novel indicates that only a written license determines the marriage of a couple. The second important conflict is character versus himself. Hans had his unique ideology about life. However, after Marie left him, he became desperate. He started to talk to himself and to become mentally ill. For example, when he wanted to put on his makeup, he started to stare at himself in the mirror for minutes and he thought that there is someone else looking at him. There was a kind of phobia when he looked at the mirror. Other than that, he could easily accept the offer of his father or do not care about the friendship of his brother, Leo, with Zupfner, but he was loyal to himself and he did not sell his ideologies for money. Character versus character can be considered in the story of Hans trying to win Marie back. At that point he had conflict with Zupfner and even Marie. As well, there were conflicts with his father and his brother as well, for the financial issues and for their past. Themes[ edit ] There are some major themes based on the social conflicts in the novel. The first one states that the Christian ethic and spirituality was corruptive during the post war years in German society or even in Europe. Many examples in the Social Issues section support this statement. The second major theme is the loss of traditional familial and social unity. Hans was a clown but from a millionaire family. His family never supported him, even when he came back and asked for money. His brother came out of the support of the family when he converted to Catholicism. Furthermore, regarding Hans lost his sister during the war, his family preferred not to waste their wealth for their two sons. On the other side, Marie left him after five year because of the effects that forced her to feel sinful about her life and leave him to marry another person. All of these examples indicate the social unity and the families have some main problems. The third theme is there is no place for an artist with different ideologies from the people ruling the society. Although during the postwar years Germany did not have a dictator like Hitler to classify the people in the society, the effect of those years made the society do it automatically and indirectly based on ideologies of people. Reactions[ edit ] Following publication in 1963, the novel generated polemics in the press for its negative portrayal of the Catholic Church and the CDU party. Böll's liberal views on religion and social issues inspired the wrath of conservatives in Germany. In Noise: A Flaw in Human Judgment , they write that due to factors such as cognitive biases , group dynamics, mood, stress, fatigue, and differences in skill between assessors/decision makers/judges, judgements that should ideally be identical in fact often differ a lot. This gives rise to injustices, hazards and costs of various types. Furthermore, it does so in a way that is distinct from statistical bias and which is affected by cognitive biases but not limited to their influence. In the book, which received much press, they explain what noise is, how it can be detected and how it can be reduced – which can also reduce bias. Behavioral economics Kahneman and Tversky were both fellows at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University in the academic year 1977–1978. A young economist named Richard Thaler was a visiting professor at the Stanford branch of the National Bureau of Economic Research during that same year. According to Kahneman, "[Thaler and I] soon became friends, and have ever since had a considerable influence on each other's thinking." Building on prospect theory and Kahneman and Tversky's body of work, Thaler published "Toward a Positive Theory of Consumer Choice" in 1980, a paper which Kahneman has called "the founding text of behavioral economics." Kahneman and Tversky became heavily involved in the development of this new approach to economic theory, and their involvement in this movement had the effect of reducing the intensity and exclusivity of their earlier period of joint collaboration.[ citation needed ] According to Kahneman the collaboration 'tapered off' in the early 1980s, although they tried to revive it. Hedonic psychology In the 1990s, Kahneman's research focus began to gradually shift in emphasis towards hedonic psychology. According to Kahneman and colleagues, Hedonic psychology...is the study of what makes experiences and life pleasant or unpleasant. It is concerned with feelings of pleasure and pain, of interest and boredom, of joy and sorrow, and of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. It is also concerned with the whole range of circumstances, from the biological to the societal, that occasion suffering and enjoyment. (This subfield is closely related to the positive psychology movement, which was steadily gaining in popularity at the time.) It is difficult to determine precisely when Kahneman's research began to focus on hedonics, although it likely stemmed from his work on the economic notion of utility . After publishing multiple articles and chapters in all but one of the years spanning the period 1979–1986 (for a total of 23 published works in 8 years), Kahneman published exactly one chapter during the years 1987–1989. After this hiatus, articles on utility and the psychology of utility began to appear (e.g., Kahneman & Snell, 1990; Kahneman & Thaler, 1991; Kahneman & Varey, 1991). In 1992 Varey and Kahneman introduced the method of evaluating moments and episodes as a way to capture "experiences extended across time". While Kahneman continued to study decision-making (e.g., Kahneman, 1992, 1994; Kahneman & Lovallo, 1993), hedonic psychology was the focus of an increasing number of publications (e.g., Fredrickson & Kahneman, 1993; Kahneman, Fredrickson, Schreiber & Redelemeier, 1993; Kahneman, Wakker & Sarin, 1997; Redelmeier & Kahneman, 1996), culminating in a volume co-edited with Ed Diener and Norbert Schwarz , scholars of affect and well-being. Focusing illusion With David Schkade, Kahneman developed the notion of the focusing illusion (Kahneman & Schkade, 1998; Kahneman, Krueger, Schkade, Schwarz & Stone, 2006) to explain in part the mistakes people make when estimating the effects of different scenarios on their future happiness (also known as affective forecasting , which has been studied extensively by Daniel Gilbert ). The "illusion" occurs when people consider the impact of one specific factor on their overall happiness, they tend to greatly exaggerate the importance of that factor, while overlooking the numerous other factors that would in most cases have a greater impact. A good example is provided by Kahneman and Schkade's 1998 paper "Does living in California make people happy? A focusing illusion in judgments of life satisfaction". In that paper, students in the Midwest and in California reported similar levels of life satisfaction, but the Midwesterners thought their Californian peers would be happier. The only distinguishing information the Midwestern students had when making these judgments was the fact that their hypothetical peers lived in California. Thus, they "focused" on this distinction, thereby overestimating the effect of the weather in California on its residents' satisfaction with life. Peak–end rule and remembered pleasure One of the cognitive biases in hedonic psychology discovered by Kahneman is called the peak–end rule . It affects how we remember the pleasantness or unpleasantness of experiences. It states that our overall impression of past events is determined for the most part not by the total pleasure and suffering it contained but by how it felt at its peaks and at its end . For example, the memory of a painful colonoscopy is improved if the examination is extended by three minutes in which the scope is still inside but not moved anymore, resulting in a moderately uncomfortable sensation. This extended colonoscopy, despite involving more pain overall, is remembered less negatively due to the reduced pain at the end. This even increases the likelihood for the patient to return for subsequent procedures. Kahneman explains this distortion in terms of the difference between two selves : the experiencing self , which is aware of pleasure and pain as they are happening, and the remembering self , which shows the aggregate pleasure and pain over an extended period of time. The distortions due to the peak–end rule happen on the level of the remembering self . Our tendency to rely on the remembering self can often lead us to pursue courses of action that are not in our best self-interest. Happiness and life satisfaction Kahneman has defined happiness as "what I experience here and now", but says that in reality humans pursue life satisfaction , which "is connected to a large degree to social yardsticks–achieving goals, meeting expectations." Teaching Kahneman is a senior scholar and faculty member emeritus at Princeton University 's Department of Psychology and Princeton School of Public and International Affairs . His son has schizophrenia , and his daughter works in technology. His second wife was the cognitive psychologist Anne Treisman , from 1978 until her death in 2018. As of 2014, they lived part-time in Berkeley, California . As of 2022, he lives in New York City with Barbara Tversky , the widow of his long-time collaborator Amos Tversky . In 2015 Kahneman described himself as a very hard worker, as "a worrier" and "not a jolly person." But, despite this, he said, "I'm quite capable of great enjoyment, and I've had a great life." Awards and recognition In 2001, he was elected a member of the National Academy of Sciences In 2002, Kahneman received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences , despite being a research psychologist, for his work in prospect theory. Kahneman states he has never taken a single economics course – that everything that he knows of the subject he and Tversky learned from their collaborators Richard Thaler and Jack Knetsch. Kahneman, co-recipient with Tversky, earned the 2003 University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award for Psychology. In 2005, he was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society . In 2007, he was presented with the American Psychological Association 's Award for Outstanding Lifetime Contributions to Psychology . On November 6, 2009, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the department of Economics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam , Netherlands . In his acceptance speech Kahneman said, "when you live long enough, you see the impossible become reality." He was referring to the fact that he would never have expected to be honored as an economist when he started his studies into what would become Behavioral Economics. In both 2011 and 2012, he made the Bloomberg 50 most influential people in global finance . On November 9, 2011, he was awarded the Talcott Parsons Prize by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences . His book Thinking, Fast and Slow was the winner of the 2011 Los Angeles Times Book Award for Current Interest and the National Academy of Sciences Communication Award for the best book published in 2011. In 2012 he was accepted as corresponding academician at the Real Academia Española (Economic and Financial Sciences). On August 8, 2013, President Barack Obama announced that Daniel Kahneman would be a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom . On June 1, 2015, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Arts at McGill University in Montreal . Nghe Sau Nghe Sau Danh sách Thích Đã thíchذهن‌آگاهی یا فرآگاهی فرآیندی روان‌‌شناختی‌ست به‌معنای توجه به تجربیات زمان حال، بدون قضاوت. ذهن‌آگاهی توانایی کنترل اراده، غریزه و فرصتی برای اصلاح اشتباهات ناخودآگاه است. به عبارت دیگر پرورش آگاهی و هوشیاری با تکیه بر مراقبت و زیر نظر گرفتن توجه و تجربیات در زمان حال بدون قضاوت کردن. تعریف کوتاه ذهن‌آگاهی یعنی آگاهی از لحظه است. [۱] برای ذهن‌آگاهی می‌توان از روش‌های مختلف مانند مدیتیشن بهره برد. در دهه‌های اخیر با استفاده از مبانی ذهن‌آگاهی روش‌های درمانی مختلفی در روانشناسی بالینی و روان‌پزشکی برای درمان افسردگی ، [۲] [۳] اضطراب، [۳] اعتیاد [۴] [۵] و کاهش استرس [۶] ابداع شده‌است. ریشه‌شناسی[ ویرایش ] ذهن‌آگاهی ریشه در عهد باستان دارد، و نمونه‌های آن را، هم در فرهنگ‌های شرقی (مثل بودائی ) و هم در فرهنگ‌های غربی می‌توان یافت. اصطلاح انگلیسی mindfulness ترجمهٔ لغت هندی باستان، ساتی ( sati ) است. ساتی یعنی « آگاهی »، « توجه »، و « به‌یاد آوردن »: ساتی متعلق به زبان پالی است. پالی از ۲۵۰۰ سال پیش زبان روانشناسی بودائی بوده و ذهن‌آگاهی آموزه اصلی مکتب بودایی است. آگاهی : جنبه‌ای از انسان بودن است که باعث می‌شود از تجربه‌های خود آگاه باشد و از آن‌ها خبر داشته باشد. بدون آگاهی، هیچ چیزی برای انسان وجود نخواهد داشت. توجه (دقت) : عبارت است از آگاهی متمرکز؛ یاد گرفتن ذهن‌آگاهی، توانایی برای حفظ توجه را افزایش می‌دهد و با آن می‌توان در هر جا و هرطور که انسان اراده می‌کند، توجه خود را متمرکز نگه دارد. به‌یاد آوردن : این جنبه از ذهن‌آگاهی در بارهٔ این موضوع است که «چگونه می‌توان همیشه به یاد آورد که از لحظه‌ای به لحظهٔ دیگر، می‌توان به تجربه‌های خود توجه کرد.» افراد خیلی زود و آسان فراموش می‌کنند که حواس‌جمع باشند. آگاهی و توجه زیر مجموعه هوشیاری هستند. اَشکال تقویت ذهن‌آگاهی[ ویرایش ] توجه متمرکز یا مراقبه متمرکز، ساماتا ویپاسانا ؛ (در زبان پالی Samatha ): مانند نور لیزر خطی است و به هر پدیده‌ای تابانده شود آن را روشن می‌کند. مشاهده پذیرا: مانند نورافکن (در مقابل نور لیزر) است. بر طیف وسیعی از موضوع‌هایی که در هوشیاری ما پدیدار می‌شوند نور می‌تاباند و هریک را جداگانه بررسی می‌کند. مهرورزی و شفقت : کیفیت و صفت آگاهی به‌شمار می‌آیند. افزودن مهربانی، آسایش و آرامش به مراقبه است. چگونه ذهن آگاهی به سلامتی کمک می‌کند[ ویرایش ] ذهن‌آگاهی «پاسخ آرامش» را تحریک می‌کند و باعث می‌شود که بدن خودش را بازیابی کند. دکتر هربرت بنسن از هاروارد گفته است که پاسخ آرامش باعث می‌شود که قابلیت بدن ما برای بازیابی خود به حداکثر برسد. این پاسخ باعث می‌شود که سیکل استرس کمتر شود و در شیمی بدن ما تغییراتی ایجاد شود تا تولید هورمون ها برای افزایش سیستم ایمنی بیشتر شود. [ نیازمند منبع ] تمرینات ذهن آگاهی بیماری‌های زیادی کاهش پیدا می‌کند و سلامتی و دوام عمر و و حیات ذهن و بدن بیشتر می‌شود.[ نیازمند منبع ] ذهن‌آگاهی باعث کاهش نگرانی از داشتن بیماری می‌شود. بسیاری از افرادی که مریض می‌شوند به خاطر عوامل فیزیولوژیکی نیست که بیمار می‌شوند، بلکه به خاطر ترس از بیمار شدن، بیمار می‌شوند. ذهن آگاهی نگرانی‌ها و استرس را کم می‌کند. ذهن آگاهی ژن‌های خطرناک را کم می‌کند.
