"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple...
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer" (Psalm 19:7, 14).
I think we've all been "too smart for our own good" -- I know I have!
It is SO much better to put our opinions and ideas aside, and come humbly to the Lord as a trusting child to learn His ways. His ways are perfect (and Jesus IS "the Way, the Truth, and the Life" - John 14:6).
