Help Me Help You: Guest Morgan Balavage on Asking for Help and Building a Spiritual Business - Ep #20
Manage episode 363675626 series 3364774
We’re introducing a new format to the podcast today and welcoming a guest for the first time in months! We couldn’t be more pleased to have Morgan Balavage of Splendid Yoga join us to share her learned wisdom on the importance of asking for help on the path of most healing.
But first, our personal updates converge as one this week because we get to see each other in person in just a few short hours! By the time this episode airs, we will have come together in Savannah, a trip initiated by a rather invasive dental procedure for Cass. Kaylin’s job is to babysit while Jade’s is to record the inevitable hilarity. It’s also a great opportunity to reconnect and refresh their vision behind Aligned, bringing their friendship and business back into alignment in one fell swoop.
A sacral 4:6 human design similar to Jade and Cass and a go-getter generator like Kaylin, Morgan Balavage shares her experiences in learning how to help others and help herself by harnessing her divine feminine. Being asked for help is such an honor, and she allows others the same courtesy by asking for it when she needs a little support too. It took a “phoenix rising moment” 7 years ago to fully learn that lesson from the universe, but when she lost her job, her relationship, and sustained a serious ACL injury, she had to face the music. From energy to money, everything is an exchange; we are here to help one another.
Morgan is now a successful spiritual entrepreneur, helping others build their spiritual businesses within patriarchal capitalism through her impactful yoga practice. Her next move will gradually take her from psychically loud LA to the peaceful desert. This latest venture fell into her lap when she spied a flyer on vacation that checked all the boxes: music venues and personal connection galore, a “creative shack” perfect for where she’s at in her healing journey, and a climate much more suited to her personality.
You can follow Morgan’s story at any of the links below. Make sure to keep an eye out for her latest books!
“We’re embarking on an epic journey that will probably change the entire trajectory of everything that we’re doing” - Cass
“I’m capable to a fault. I can do it all on my own, just like so many women, but just because we can doesn’t mean that’s the path of most healing. Often the path of most healing is in asking for help” - Morgan
“Your moon is your feminine, it’s also your emotional body, it’s who you are when your back’s against the wall. And your moon is at the top of the chart which means it’s there to be seen and to serve and you feel good when you’re serving but that can so easily, as you guys are explaining, go awry” - Jade
“Saying ‘no’ means someone else gets to say ‘yes’” - Morgan
