A star studded youth career saw Alex receive interest from a majority of the top college programs in the United States and led to him landing at Stanford University at probably the height of the Stanford dynasty. As many young players realize as they move to higher levels of play, everyone was a star before and Alex struggled in his time with the Cardinals.
