October is breast cancer awareness month and Dr. Scantlebury explains the importance of keeping up with all of your cancer screenings, particularly if you are on the transplant list. Speaking of the transplant list, it can be particularly confusing to understand how it works. Listen for an explanation of how different information such as genetic markers, antibodies, recipient location and current health situation all factor into who receives a kidney and when. Additionally, Dr. Scantlebury explains sepsis and why it is so dangerous.
